Hi, I'm Bruno Tuma

Hi, my name is Bruno Tuma

I love all things tech, from the transistor to the cloud.

Currently, I'm a DevOps Specialist re-thinking data pipelines @ Datastreamer.

Whether it's code, infrastructure or circuitry, I enjoy making things work or finding ways to make them better!

I'm based in London, Ontario.Canada Flag

Tech Generalist by Design

I was that kid who got in trouble for talking too much about computers, so yeah, this goes way back. My early career kicked off in game dev during college, I was the lone dev amoung artists, coding multiplayer training games while juggling infrastructure I barely understood. Cue lots of late nights, duct-taped fixes, and a growing list of things I didn't know.

So I did what any stubborn person would: made a list, and learned it all out of pure spite, really. That rabbit hole led me to a sysadmin role, and I haven't stopped pulling at the threads since.

I've worked across backend, frontend, DevOps, automation... You name it. I like systems, the messy middle bits, the glue work. Lately, I've been eyeing LLMs. Who knows? Curiosity's got a good track record.

Beyond the Terminal Thermal

While tech is a huge part of my life, it's not all of it. On warmer days, you'll usually find me outdoors, either rollerblading, hiking, or paragliding (though ironically, I'm not in the best location for flying right now).

Paragliding, though... That's the one. You're suspended in air, no tabs open, no Slack pings, just wind and instinct. It demands presence. You can't fake focus up there. It's the one place where I fully let go of whatever I've left on the ground. It's my favorite kind of reboot.

Certifications

Since 2020, I've made it a habit to earn one cert a year. It keeps me learning with purpose and gives structure to the chaos. Here's what I've tackled so far, and what's probably keeping me up next:
